How it works

  1. Book a free call

Thirty minutes on video. We look at where your books are and what you need done.

  2. Get a fixed quote

In writing within two business days, using the same prices you see on this site.

  3. Give us access

Accountant access to your bookkeeping software and read-only bank feeds. We never ask for your banking password.

  4. Books closed monthly

By the 15th of each month, with a short report and one list of anything we need from you.

Coming up for small businesses

Federal deadlines for businesses on a calendar tax year. When a date falls on a weekend or holiday it moves to the next business day, and the list already allows for that.

    Questions people ask first

What happens on the free consultation?

We spend thirty minutes on a video call going through how your business is set up, where the books are today and what you need from an accountant. Within two business days you get a written quote with a fixed monthly price. There is nothing to sign on the call.

Do we need to meet in person?

No. We work by video call and email, and documents move through your bookkeeping software. Most clients never need to print anything.

    Which software do you use?

QuickBooks Online or Xero for the books, and your existing payroll provider, such as Gusto or QuickBooks Payroll. If you have nothing set up yet, we will recommend one and set it up with you.

I'm more than a year behind. Can you still help?

Yes. Catch-up work is priced per month of history, at a lower rate than ongoing bookkeeping, and you get the full price before we start. The pricing page will work it out for you.

    Is there a long contract?

No. Monthly services run month to month, and you can stop with 30 days' notice. Your books and files stay yours either way.
