A small practice with a simple promise: your books are current every month, you know what you owe before it's due, and you never have to chase us for an answer.
A month with us
The same rhythm every month, so you always know what's coming.

The month ends
Bank and card feeds have been coming in all month. You don't need to send anything unless we ask.

One email with questions
In the first week, a single list of anything we can't categorize from the statements. Answer it in one go, by reply.

Books closed by the 15th
Every account reconciled to its statement, and a profit and loss and balance sheet with a few plain sentences on what changed.

Taxes looked after quarterly
Before each estimated tax date, the amount to pay, worked out from your actual year so far.
Software
We keep books in QuickBooks Online or Xero, and run payroll through your payroll provider, such as Gusto or QuickBooks Payroll. If you already use one of these, we work in your account. If you have nothing yet, we'll recommend one and set it up with you.
The subscriptions are in your name and paid by you, so your records stay yours whether or not you stay with us.
Access and security
- We use an accountant login to your bookkeeping software, never your own.
- Bank and card data arrives through read-only feeds. We never ask for your online banking password, and you should never send it to anyone.
- Documents come to us through your bookkeeping software's receipt capture or a shared folder you control, not as email attachments.
- Every account we use has two-step sign-in turned on.
Staying in touch
- Email is the main line. We reply within one business day.
- Video calls whenever something deserves a conversation, booked on the same calendar as your first consultation.
- A short check-in before year end, so the tax return holds no surprises.
Fair terms
- Monthly services run month to month. Stop with 30 days' notice.
- Prices only change after we've told you why, and never for a single busy month.
- Tax returns and 1099s are billed when filed, not before.
- If you leave, you take everything: the books, the reports and the returns.
What we need from you
- Answers to the monthly question list within a week
- A heads-up when something big happens: a new hire, a loan, a new state, a large purchase
- Receipts for anything over $75, snapped into the bookkeeping app
